As of Sunday 24th November, Go-Ahead Ireland is now operating route 197 on behalf of Transport for Ireland (TFI).
The 197 extends between Swords and Ashbourne, stopping at the principal Stopping Places listed below:

The bus service operates 17 daily return services on Monday to Saturday and 14 daily return services on Sunday inclusive of public holidays, with the exception of Christmas Day.
Services will primarily have a one-hour frequency, except for the PM peak which will operate at a one hour and fifteen minute frequency. Please note that the PM Peak will temporarily use a one hour ten minute frequency while roadworks on Rathbeale Road take place.
Route 197 (operated by Go-Ahead Ireland) is fully integrated in the TFI Journey Planner. The TFI Journey Planner is a door-to-door journey planner that provides service information, directions and time estimates for taking a journey on all licensed public transport providers across Ireland.

Accessibility
Go-Ahead Ireland accepts passengers with assistance dogs. Assistance dogs must wear identification so that the driver is aware that they are an assistance dog and must not block the aisle or seats. There is no limit to the amount of assistance dogs a driver can allow on board, as long as there is space. The driver has the discretion to make the decision based on the crowding of the bus. The driver will do everything they can to ensure that customers with assistance dogs can board safely.
The 197 buses are low floor and accessible for wheelchairs and have one designated wheelchair space.
All the buses have ramps positioned at the front doors. When boarding and leaving the bus, please wait until the ramp is fully deployed and resting on the pavement before attempting to get on or off the bus. When on the bus all wheelchairs must be positioned in the designated wheelchair space with their brakes on.
Please be advised that if you use a mobility scooter you will need a permit. This is to ensure that the scooter is passed as safe to travel and because not all mobility scooters can be accommodated due to their size. To enquire about a permit, please contact Go-Ahead Ireland’s customer care team.
