TFI Local Link

TFI Local Link provides rural bus services across towns, villages and remote locations nationwide.

Where possible, TFI Local Link combines services with Bus Éireann and Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail to address rural social exclusion. The services are operated and managed by 15 local offices throughout the country. These local offices are open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm and operate all year round except for Public Holidays. Each office manages customer requests and delivery of bus services in the area.

The two types of bus services that TFI Local Link delivers are Door-to-Door Routes and Regular Rural Routes.

Door-to-Door Routes

The majority of Local Link bus services are Door-to-Door Routes which operate a pick up and drop off at the door service. They operate on a Demand Responsive element and respond to requests for services by intending passengers. Pre booking with the TFI Local Link is required.

Regular Routes Routes

Regular Rural Routes are fixed timetabled bus services that operate on a daily or weekly basis. Door-to-Door pick up is not available on these services.
