Waterford Institute of Technology are an active Smarter Travel Campus Partner Campus and engage in a number of initiatives during the year to promote smarter travel.
They are participating in the first ever Smarter Travel Campus Student Cycle Challenge this October and are also providing additional secure on-site cycle parking for staff and students in order to encourage smarter travel to the campus.
Students are encouraged to lead Smarter Travel Initiatives in Waterford Institute of Technology. This was the case when student, Aisling McGrath successfully led the campuses step challenge. Aisling was recognised for her efforts when she received the Student Award at the 2017 Smarter Travel Awards. You can read about Aisling’s achievements here.
