Limerick Institute of Technology are an active Smarter Travel Campus Partner Campus and engage in a number of initiatives during the year to promote smarter travel. They have participated in the first ever Smarter Travel Campus student walking challenge, Marchathon. As well as this they have made good use of their plasma screens around campus to promote the benefits of smarter travel to staff and students. They have also used these screens to show bus information, cycling and walking tips as well as details of the Smarter Travel Workplaces 10 Minute Cycle Challenge for staff. See examples of the information showing on plasma screens across the LIT campus below.

Limerick Institute of Technology have also been successful in incorporating Smarter Travel within their curriculum. Lecturer Denise McEvoy received the Curriculum Award in the Smarter Travel Awards in recognition of her work. You can read the details here.
