Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology are an active Smarter Travel Campus Partner Campus and engage in a number of initiatives during the year to promote smarter travel.
They have participated in the first ever Smarter Travel Campus student walking challenge, Marchathon and the Student Cycle Challenge 2014. They are currently looking at providing additional secure cycle parking facilities on campus in order to encourage a greater modal shift towards cycling.
